RUN DMC look like f***ing time travelers man,Soul Train still has that 70s aesthetic and alot of people in the audience rocking 70s gear. This had to be a revolutionary performance at the time and the real beginning of Hip Hop.

maybe those audience dressed like 70s cause thats the soul train theme n they were dressing accordingly

I mean,this was in 1984,so no one had to actually dress like the 70s. RUN DMC stand out so hard because their dressed like an 80s NY fly guy vs the crowd still rocking 70s type swag.

Yep,those guitars on Rock Box and the drums and tempo of Jam Master Jay just had to be so alien to alot of those people in crowd,but they felt the music
