Drake obviously can’t put Taylor Made on anything but socials, those “billions of artists” that one dude is gonna create won’t last since people generally hate AI artists and I believe the people will choose real artistry over robots.
its just not that good yet but maybe if someone with actual music taste builds a model it will be
these models rly do more or less regurgitate whatever you feed them. if someone curates a good playlist and trains a model it could become much more effective
The vast majority of people have accepted and are happy to listen to the most formulaic pop crap on the radio for decades. AI generated music is only one step away from that, what makes you think thats where people draw the line?

Been saying this lol most of the things that fill out entertainment sphere (especially America) are more or less Ai already lol the gymnastics that these studios do to curate the next pop song / hollywood hit / tv show is essently how models get trained.
Same thing happened with Paintings and photography. People literally freaked out because it was a machine that was doing the job and not someone manually painting. Honestly can't wait till its just more in the culture so people stop complaining and when art is evocative and interesting that's what they'll care about. Not if it had any traces of ai.
Like for ffs CGI simulations exist. Like idk so many contradictions with peoples arguments.

lol there'll be a point where we'll be in a cycle where ai will learn off ai music that was released and we might just be in a loop of AI music. No fresh ideas.
As long as the Ai is not using copyright material or peoples voices without consent I do not see an issue.

if all that music is trash who cares tho, what will be interesting to see is if someone can make a model that makes original sounding fire music

Because people rally behind people
They won't stan robots irregardless of how the music sounds
AI won't get caught by the paps
AI won't do Coachella
AI won't post real pics on the gram
AI won't take an interview

AIs have already done all these things except for the paparazzi. I guess its been people employing them rather than an actual self-directing entity but still.
I hear you, and i agree that there will always be a place for human music and genuine interpersonal connection. But imo AI is going to take a chunk of the industry’s income. Will there remain as much opportunity for people to sustain a career in the arts?

I did something like that (kind of but not really) the other day in ableton. I found a plugin that style transfers a sound input into a target sound in real time. Eg you can sing into it and it will output into drums, or piano, or violin etc. Then i ran that into a return track and fed it back into itself, making a feedback loop. Sounded crazy, really experimental sound, very fluid.
Im excited about AI tools like this but also concerned that its going down the road of capitalistic optimisation instead of creative innovation.
Re: ai learning from itself, i wonder how well AI will be able to create new genres etc

They have machines for paintings?
If like 2016 ian connor or kylie jenner or someone who gets that level of influence had/has access to the right AI and team it can get different lol
If we think its a real person it can work. Imagine if they gave Kim K some AI beyonce rihanna s*** lol
