This s*** gonna make me log off the internet for good I swear. Its got to the point where even if a community vetted entry so strictly as to have each user do a video call with the mods it STILL wouldn't be safe.

A space I really enjoy is now dealing with ai bots masquerading as real people who then stealth market ai s***! It's maddening!

Seriously contemplating a radical change in my habits, like just decimating my online presence frfr. Feels like ain't S*** worth my time in the digital world anymore

U good bro? This post comes off as unusually angry 4 u

If i had a child id do everything in my power to keep them from being nerds

we learn more from our experiences and develop core memories off that more than from reading or writing

most significant moments of our lives happened with a visual element, not from a book, website, or song lmfao

I can’t “nerdify” the feeling of holding your first child or receiving your diploma and celebrating with your people

USA is operating 2-3 years behind China, we don’t have to keep stating this. people are stealing ideas from there and reproducing it here for profit lmao

just wait until you see the autodrink makers they use at Boba Restaurants start getting mainstream, the baristas gonna cry

Your significant experiences from life aren’t going to be found in a 500+ page book or your favorite song, that’s not life. actually, they take time away from life

humans don’t experience life through auditory means or through critical means such as reading, as these are shifting lines to our brains that require different levels of context

we experience life through our eyes and emotions. we see something and react to it more internally and externally than if it was auditory or written down

You’re more likely to cry to nostalgic imagery in your brain than you are to cry to that person’s voice in your head

I aint tryna flex but every day i have mona lisa level visuals running thru my mind that i cant create cus my mind moves too fast an i cant rly draw

the irony of this comment is this is the exact issue with AI and art. we are moving too fast. you not meant to have that “Mona Lisa” since you can’t even slow down to create it

art isn’t about efficiency, it’s about slowing down and understanding your thoughts to create a profound idea

paul is a writer. through and through

if he’s saying it, i agree with him. his credentials are way past taxi driver and he’s a talented writer. i think people who truly love the craft of writing can appreciate what LLM’s can provide for creative, talented, genuine people

if a.i is inevitable then it’s dependent on artists as strong as charader to use it as a tool as he proposes, and makes meaningful art, that’s supplemented by the research capabilities of LLM

as well as using other directors for prompts.

:vlosereave: imagine someone stole your work, fed it to AI, and made millions off the back of your originality with a supercomputer in minutes

like okay but reading is arguably the greatest way to learn information. can't just walk thru life head empty completely disregarding critical thought. your claim that books and music TAKE AWAY from life is absolutely insane

they take away TIME from life. of course reading for learning or as your choice of entertainment purposes is still important to the human condition

I’m saying, would you rather sit and read a 1000 page book for 2 weeks or take a vacation with your family for 2 weeks? Which one is going to bring more meaning to your life in 30 years? The random facts you found on page 750, or the life experience you had with your family in those weeks?
