You ain’t got insurance if you hit someone and piss them off they go to the cops and now your licence suspended cuz you’re driving with no insurance

If there’s no damage then you’re good, and if the driver’s there they’ll realize you’re being a decent human being

If there is damage you have time to discuss with the driver if they’re there for you to fix it without getting cops involved which is worst case scenario for you

And if there’s damage and no driver then you maybe do the dash
