If you keep being open and kind and treating people well, you'll reach a point in life where someone will wish you a happy birthday. Maybe it didn't happen this year but it will eventually.

Sorry your birthday sucked but don't get too discouraged.

The only explanation is that all these folk also don't receive any love or well wishes on their birthdays, and thats sad :(

You should take the moment to reevaluate your relationships with friends/family. What energy are you putting into these people? Should you do more to make them feel special, so you receive that back? Or are you already doing that, and your energy isn't being reciprocated?
