have you seen how much public discourse around a whole lot of social issues has drastically changed in recent years?

i'd bet a lot of, if not all of that stems from people speaking out online and raising awareness of issues that were more ignored in the past

The discourse of a very small segment of the population on Twitter which gets weaponized by mainstream media to maintain the status quo. Police budgets went up while everybody was posting to defund them. Libs just learned how to talk like Tumblr. Nothing actually changed.

Incorrect, online is a tool to help spread awareness but social movements/activism don't ever START online.
