you can't really pay attention to nostalgia because you're living in the future where you know what the consequences of your actions back then turned out to be. 5 years from now you will feel the same way about choices you make in your life today but that's the way life is.

you gain knowledge through life experiences, the only way you can find out what the "wrong" thing to do in a situation is to do the wrong thing.

It's a feeling you love and hate. Trust me I have those feelings all the time.
