lot of hollow knight itt, i might look into that
reminds me of super meat boy which is the only 2d game i really enjoyed thus far
right? I was going to recommend Stardew Valley - it's the perfect chill game lol
this looks chill as well. i’ll probably just get it for my iPad so i can play it in bed lol

it's great, my brother basically bullied me into playing it last year after i got into metroidvanias
It's always a GOAT tier, somewhat succinct type of game that gets me out of this funk. Like God of War or The Last of Us. I'd recommend
Doom/ Eternal
RE4
Nier Automata
Uncharted 4
Bloodborne
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Helldivers 2, Baldurs Gate 3, Spyro Remake Trilogy, Forza Horizon 5, Armored Core 6, Pikmin 4, Final Fantasy 16, Atomic Heart, Hogwarts Legacy, crash Bandicoot 4, Sunset Overdrive, Control & Yakuza 0 @op
Crash Bandicoot 4 is a good recommendation
Hollow Knight
Hades
Dead Cells
Mark Of The Ninja
Katana Zero
Pizza Tower
castle crashers
cuphead
i’m burnt out on (multiplayer) games and need something fun to play
currently playing Ghost of Tsushima for the third time but it doesn’t hit the same
thinking of getting Elden Ring but I‘m not sure I can commit to it right now
anyone know some chill games that still keep you engaged?
preferably no indie/2d games as i rarely like those
cs.15 diablo 2
Rayman Legends. Very fun and basically perfectly designed game. I know you said you don’t always like 2D but I’m the same way, it’s just this one is very refreshing and relaxing esp if you have burnout. I was mad engaged the whole game

ngl, I was initially on the fence about it too because I thought it would be similar to Animal Crossing (which I love, but at the time I was creatively burn out and that's one of those games where the main limit is your own creativity).
But I would always see people hype up Stardew Valley so I picked it up for like $5 on my Switch and it's the perfect game for a portable device.
Super chill, doesn't require much, if any mental energy/focus and it can be goal-oriented (but doesn't have to be). You play at your own pace and can do different activities depending on your mood.
