All the evidence points to Kobe being innocent, he released a statement saying he believes the girl believes it was nonconsensual when he feels otherwise. This was in 03. He didn’t need to put that out but did so instead of trying to paint the girl as a money hungry liar (which could be argued).
The media then tried to paint Kobe as a rapist that somehow “admitted” to rape when he just said he believes the girl believes it wasn’t consensual. And it sadly worked. Now every ignorant clown will tote the idea Kobe is a rapist because instead of looking up the facts it’s become easier to bring someone so high down to something so low.
