She’s def got Nicki influence but she’s her own artist imo.

it’s dope seeing comments like this. I want Doechii to win big I’m rooting for her and hoping she succeeds. I first heard about her 3 yrs ago and was already diving into her music back then so you can imagine how hyped I was that she broke into the mainstream this year.

But I’d be lying if I said I wasnt disappointed with a few things this year. Her live performance with Katy Perry and the Bullfrog-NISSAN ALTIMA song/MV just didn’t feel like her. Listening to the NISSAN ALTIMA chorus is particularly difficult. She doesn’t need to go that route she’s way too talented for this kinda stuff and it came off like a sellout move.

I really hope that’s not the case but if you listen to the songs below you’ll understand where I’m coming from...

I first discovered Doechii thru the songs above and that’s the Doechii I know. I really hope her album will lean more toward that direction. Talking about d***s and coochies should be left to Sexy Redd and Glorilla...Doechii way too talented for that imo.

I was planning to start a thread about this during the summer but I changed my mind (didnt want to give the impression like I’m hating).

Either way I’m rooting for her and cant wait to see what she does next year She has everything it takes to be one of the most impactful voices in hiphop.
