Imagine someone clinging onto your people based on their skin tone. Basically they’re understanding of the Spanish Inquisition, Brazilian slave trade come from education but their ancestors have 0 ties to those atrocities.
Their grandparents didn’t live under those laws or land.
They’re a first generational person who people associate you with based on the color of their skin and not actual genetics, history etc.
It’s pretty disrespectful.

Sounds like you talking about me lol. I only know my background through racial history in the country I was born in. But I know I am Pardo, and I proudly identify as Black. I’m not in touch with my Native culture at all though and that upsets me.
I feel like irl you wouldn’t accept me as Black which kinda sucks but hey I guess we just see the world different.
