Who else would u put as the closest to our generation version of an “mc”
It was hard enough because apart from the early 2010s basically everyone in that kendrick control verse shifted their focus to creative work that wasn’t really centered on rapping. Even the ones that very much came up off that (rocky, vince, mac etc)
Like they still rap obviously but hip hop just changed so much to mean more than that in the mid point of the decade
