    For most of them

I like games that feel like its literally someones dream game, an idea theyve been thinking and sitting with "forever".

Yeah passion and unique is part of that but its a bit more.

Baldurs Gate 3, Elden Ring/Dar Souls/Bloodborne, Black Myth Wukong and so on (as recent examples) but also stuff like Pikmin, Prey 2017, Metal Gear, Okam or Monster Hunter or the first two Uncharted games etc.

Yeah theres certain things i like but most of the time its beyond that.

Even some multiplayer game like Rocket League, og Overwatch or Helldivers 2.
You can feel it comes from a real place and its part of someones for a long time.

You dont get that in most Assassins Creeds, most Call of Duties, most of these live service s*** factories like Concord or Battleborn.

Yes they still have to be a working and well put together game but after that, that thing is what makes it for me.

Its not just a product or "just a game", but its also not a tryhad "art" ego attempt. Its something deeper and genuine about it. Something a person thinks its just cool and interesting and theyre excited to share it and get it outside of their head.

Thats the "it" factor, at least for me. That tangible intangibleness.

    Hm.

I mean I agree. I think when an entire team thinks some game is cool and everyone is working hard to personally make the product better than that's the real meaning of success. Even if it's a one man project if they are able and have the passion and a cool idea like Vampire Slayer then it all will come together.
