i saw someone describe it as the closest we’ve gotten to a singer songwriter kanye album and I agree
How when 808s and Donda exist
Besides the nostalgia factor ITAKY is basically unlistenable (especially with the removed sample). Yikes and all mine are fine listens but not that compelling or exciting to listen back to. I wouldn't leave is a nice vibe but again a little basic. No Mistakes is a great vibe but his verse just gets kinda off topic and becomes about drake? idk. Ghost town is a classic. Violent Crimes is a lame song cuz its like T.I. father vibes. The Wyoming energy was a moment but the album just comes up a lil empty in the end. Shoutout KSG.

Real s***
It's legit not bad, and I'm very open to s*** on JIK and Donda 2.
It's a really relaxing album despite the controversy that was going around it.
Obviously I would never put this at the top of my album ranking, but I never understood people who consider this as unquestionably his worse. All 7 tracks offer something and no track is worse than some of the songs on Donda or jik. ghost town is top 5 ye songs since 2015. Such a weirdly hated album imo.

not even tryna be an a******, but what does this actually mean
hes always had this confessional vibe from his album that tackled a myriad of issues including mental health
idk why ppl act like it’s his only album that’s done that
ghost town is a great song and it’s a shame there’s a chance we’ll never properly hear it live in a tour as it deserves to be in a proper set list
