My father was a complicated man, and we had an argument about our family a couple years ago. My mother's side of the family hated him, they got a divorce. I was the middleman to their anger. I couldn't handle it anymore, I stopped talking to him. I got a phone call yesterday afternoon while I was getting lunch with my friend and an investigator was on the line telling me my father passed away in his sleep, and asked me what we should do with him. He had my phone number down in his room, nobody else's. I had to tell my grandma her son passed away. If you have problems with anyone in your life that you love, fix that s*** right away. You don't have time.

S***s so sad man I can relate my dads being going through rehab and I miss him I'm just glad he's still here yknow not sure how i would feel if he passed

Yea always got love for my parents they’ve been there for me when s*** got tuff

Had a real great talk with my dad yesterday. We haven’t been as close the last few years but we finally started getting that bond again. Glad I started putting in effort again. My condolences to you OP

I can’t say I relate because my Dad hasn’t passed. But he suffered an awful childhood that led to all kind of stress and he was diagnosed with skin cancer. They found it late. it f***ing sucks because he persevered through horrible abuse
