I meant like. you wouldnt beat yourself up for not getting into a school with a 5% acceptance rate. so when these playlists are even more selective on a per rate basis, its unfair for yourself to judge your own release as a failure for not securing that spot. and I personally know a lot of artists who think that way, and have thought that way myself in the past

Getting playlisted is only based on how much money you have and how many relevant connections you have. It is not just a “random event” that just happens. Same with getting into top colleges; it’s not something that is based on chance or merit.

i never said it was a random event in the video to be clear. even having connections puts u into a largeeee ass pool of artists with some sort of “connections”. not all of them get playlisted every time. that’s where the college a***ogy came in
