This isn't a short-term solution, but after the immediate crisis is taken care of, look into data science fam. With dedication I promise you can have a 70k salary within the year, and 100k+ in a few years time

I'll check it out. Feel like I'm getting a bit long in the tooth to change careers again, though maybe I'll have no choice. My "actual" field is union organizing and I havent been able to find a job in it in over a year, which is why I was hoping truck driving would shake out.

There's already way more data science jobs than data scientists to fill them, and the demand is only increasing. Iirc it's been voted as the best job to have for like 4yrs in a row.

op is asking for 380 dollars. thats literally 5.1 dollars per person.
he's gotten 100 already. so he needs 280 from 73 people. 3.84 per person.
and you know what, if you can't spare someone going through a tough time 4 dollars, then you have no f***ing right to look down on them, to ridicule them, or offer them any sort of backhanded financial advice. You just need to be honest with yourself and admit you don't give a f*** about anyone or anything outside of your bubble.
