i tried to make kratom a thing in like 2023 but then last year my ex called it a "gas station d***" and now I feel embarrassed. they're definitely banning it soon because they're making literal fake percs from it and putting them in smoke shops, which look every bit as stupid as you'd think.

i have mixed thoughts about it. It's better than taking substances that impair me and it does make me happy. which is something i haven't felt much in a while. but it's still a d*** and i am somewhat addicted to it.

I even kicked nicotine last year. but in my head I haven't decided Kratom is bad so I haven't put in the same effort to quit.

The charge, especially while active will get in the way of you getting most jobs

I had this issue in my 20s and had a few charges, including d****, and even tho they were misdemeanors, it made it almost impossible for me to get any job that wasn’t a server/bartender

I eventually became a restaurant manager, but I got bored and that’s when I got my record expunged and the second I applied for a job in the field I was going to school for, I passed the background check

In some states you might have to wait like 7 years or so as well, because that’s how far some background checks go
