reborn or cudi didn't sound like old ye what are you talking about, verse wise yes.
but production is completely passed that.
Niggas will still bump real friends as probably the most recent joint from him. Slow jamz still kills the parties.
Kanye said himself his voice is like a dog whistle at this point
yeah i mean the verses. i wasn't talking about the production. altho tbh put a R&B singer on the reborn hook and it's not far off... and i can see ye jumping on something like cudi montage around 2010/11. it might not have the samples, but in some ways that song gave me the feeling of something like murder to excellence
before lockdown i remember someone i know putting on the college dropout and a couple other OG ye fans told him to take it off and that they weren't f***ing with ye after he used his platform for tmz/trump comments in 2018.

because black people were hurt by kanyes actions, they would still dance to niggas in paris
everyone heals in due time my guy, they cant stop the music or the hits

maybe
but people can find other great music. kanye just has more great music than most people, but people could still live without his music if they really didn't wanna f*** with him.
it's very different because all ye's done is said things, but look at how people will go out of their way to take off r kelly now. when before he'd be in goat conversations and you'd hear tracks like ignition everywhere.
if people really don't wanna f*** with someone they'll ditch them. look at how quick we are culturally to call someone washed up when they've given us years of classics just cos we don't like one album

i dont even get what are you arguing anymore, people come round and some dont, that is life. Drake has a similar situation going on with a portion of his fans
Kanye hasn't done anything to the level of R kelly why are u comparing the too.

i don't feel like anyone's gonna be offended if you play a classic drake song in 2020, whereas people do actually get pissed off if they hear kanye
and i said in my post he hadn't done anything like r kelly. i'm not comparing, i'm just saying that people will ditch artists despite loving their music. people loved r kelly a lot just a few years ago
"Soon as they like you makem unlike you
Cause kissin people ass is so unlike you"
Instead of asking why people hate KanYe or have animosity towards him. Ask yourself what is he doing.
Personally I respect him as an artist, I used to listen to this nigga literally every day. But in the past few years my respect for him as a person is gone. And it's becoming more apparent that he doesn't really care about half the s*** and he's just looking to be a contrarian.
such as?
I’m not taking the time out my day to gather every Kanye quote ever said , dont play stupid
An idiot can’t write a song like gorgeous

We're not talking musically
We're not talking musically
I’m not necessarily either
Songwriting still requires thought tho either way
You could say any politician “just wants to make life better for everyone.” It’s assumed that’s the basic intent, that’s not enough to be praised for.
Speaking the gospel, particularly when you’re opposing abortion, is not something that’s going to be popular for a lot of people.
I would disagree that Kanye is a “hood kid from the ghetto” and would suggest that is lowkey racist to assume.
For the general public the defining moment of Kanye is when he stormed the stage at an awards show to proclaim that a young woman didn’t deserve her award. There’s definitely an element of racism with regards to it being a black man and a white woman, but it’s still a bad look anyway.
Kanye is seen as a “rapper” because that’s what he’s most prominently known for. I agree that there is definitely an element of racism there too but I think you’re looking at the public’s perception of Kanye the wrong way.
Bruh. He lived on the Southside of Chicago.
The man was absolutely grown up in poverty. Dont give me that rscist to assume s*** when I myself come from the trenches. I can recognize when someone has to.
black man
high confidence
highly recognized
is critical of things
the combination of these things is where the super anger comes from.
People are not shy online about letting you know how racist they are. Not all criticism is such. Like if I said, Kanye is another mentally ill, out-of-touch rich guy with some troubling fundamentalist views, that's not racist.

i feel what you saying but lets not just be saying that mental illness is a valid criticism of a person

It seemed like a valid criticism when his family put him inpatient.

His family thought he was a danger to himself and others. Nobody knows if he's addressing his bipolar disorder medically. It's a pertinent question to have about him. It's not just saying somebody is deficient because they get sad or having social anxiety.

if questioning his ability in office or business i can feel if you are the other party or person that but beyond that I can't find it in myself to judge someone or disrespect a human because they have a mental condition hell just just disprespect in general

Disrespect? Sorry, but if you run for public office, your life is on trial. Your behavior is on trial. Your competency is on trial. Your beliefs are on trial. It's the one realm where the public can still hold people slightly accountable. It's important to exercise that.
If he wanted to remain a billionaire musician and fashion designer who gets headlines on a whim, he could do that. Nobody could stop that.
I'm not deriding Kanye. I hope he's getting the help he needs. I also don't want to be subjected to that volatility politically.
