Pretty obvious around TLOP era he was gassed. He had a really good project in KSG but that's cause Cudi was there. Kanye feeds off the energy of a collaborative effort. That's why for all his best albums he was bouncing ideas off anyone that would listen. The past few albums he's cast that to the side, and the people around him started to become more shallow and disconnected from the real world, and it shows.

Disconnected because his music is now elevated. They don’t get reception here
