He wasn’t wrong then and the music has only gotten worse since 2016 so
He was wrong though because TLOP has aged like fine wine while 80% of Coles discography aging like milk.

It’s not better than Cole’s best so the tweet stinks

Who cares
He was talking about music and overpriced shoes

“He was talking about music and shoes”
Which is why I mentioned the shoes
Either way you wanna look at Cole ain’t s*** compared to Kanye and will never match his best music
I’m a big fan of TLOP but Kanye took a sharp decline in music quality after MBDTF

Wrong Yeezus is amazing.

Just say you also felt attacked when Cole did this
I always thought the "one album > than someone elses whole discography" argument to be so corny

Lowkey it does have some validity to it though not in this situation
Wrong Yeezus is amazing.
I understand the love the album receives for the new direction in sound but compared to his previous outputs it doesn’t stand up in terms of consistency. That’s my opinion tho not gonna hold you fam
Everyone on twitter back then was praising cole when he did this
Everytime ye does something. They post the video like clockwork
It’s not better than Cole’s best so the tweet stinks
His argument is still invalid because TLOP is a great album, it's not "half assed s***". He wasn't saying on False Prophets "That half ass s*** cant touch my best s***".
Plus if we comparing Cole's best s*** to Ye's best s***, Ye runs a million laps around Cole and I like some of Cole's music.
I went to a J. Cole concert once. I was happy and talking to my friends but when we got up to hand in our tickets, the attendant called me back as I walked away. "You'll need these" she said as she handed me a pillow and sleeping bag.
I questioned her and she laughed and said "You'll get it soon enough."
We walked through the hallways and got to the concert hall. The place was already filling up so we got our spots. There wasn't too much energy in the crowd but it was to be expected since there were no openers. Finally Cole came on and to my utter shock, no one jumped or cheered or made any sort of acknowledgement of the man they paid to see. Inexplicably, everyone started to sit on the floor. I followed because I didn't want to look stupid.
All around me people were laying out their sleeping bags. Some came prepared with blinders. I even saw one girl with a teddy bear. Cole shouted "What's up New York?!" and the crowd gave a listless "uhhh" in response. The opening bars of Foldin Clothes started and to my surprise everyone was still on the floor! There were already people in their sleeping bags! And then I understood - this wasn't a concert! It was a group sleep session!
I tried to stay awake as long as I could. He went through Foldin Clothes, Neighbors and Work Out. All around me people were falling asleep. I was beginning to feel tired myself. Then his Last Call ripoff began and I couldn't fight the waves of tiredness anymore. I fell asleep. I understood what J. Cole shows were then.
Best sleep of my life.
