Idk if you know alot about Christian culture but alot of people use the phrase recent convert to represent their switch to fully living by Christ.

Just believing in Jesus isnt enough for alot of people and they treat their previous life before hand as a different era.

Hence the phrase "Recent convert" he's not recently a believer in Jesus but this is his first time tryna avoid cursing,sex and other things.

I’m prettier sure a high percentage of Christians don’t fully believe in Jesus or God as he’s portrayed in the Bible. If so you’d have a bunch of people doing their best to get into heaven if they truly believed.

You see so many half way Cristians whether they are the judgement type or not

Think about it this way if you truly believe in heaven and Jesus and the Bible it would be futile for you to focus on anything other that eternal salvation ~100years<eternity logically there’s a difference.

This is why I’m agnostic because I believe everyone still sins whether they are “saved” or not. So the judgment and hypocrisy lead me to believe not many if only a small percentage actually are mentally capable of really believing in Jesus.

On the other hand maybe it’s difficulty is raised by the era we live in and it has less to do with true human condition than I think.
