I know that it's maybe a weird question, but I thought about putting my music on Soundcloud and Youtube for free, in order to get some audience and feedback, but at the same time I afraid that some more well known artists may steal my work, and I probably won't even know about it.

Is my fear legit? What can I do to prevent it?

I would allow people to use your beats free on soundcloud but have to lease them if they want to post them on Apple Music or Spotify

Put a producer tag at the beginning of each beat and let ppl use em for free, that way ppl can't claim it as theirs and u get free exposure every time somebody uses it, even if they dont credit u in the title

Yeah you know like how metro boomin has the "metro boomin want some more" one or like how pierre bourne has the "pierre you wanna come out here?" one etc

Just make sure its super unique so ppl instantly recognize it and obviously make sure it has ur producer name in there too and you should be good

Yeah maybe but people who steal them will be no names with s***ty poor quality music anyways so u shouldnt worry. (Not saying ur beats suck but if people gotta steal beats to make their music their music sucks)

I'm more adraid of other type of cases, I saw a video on Youtube and this can be a conspiracy story, but that Billie Eilish Bad Guy is similiar to some not as well known russian song which was released prior to the Bad Guy. The maker of the video also said that big artists ( more like people who work for them ) look for some interesting ideas to steal, and when they do it, they try to find some really not well known songs/beats, so they will have less problems.

Thank you, I will work on it, I actually sampled some phrase for my producer tag, but it doesn't have any name in it, so I think it's not good. To think about it, it's not as much of a producer tag, more like PERFECT thing that Kanye used on some tracks.
