don't get scammed dumbass
It stinks but It happens and the common person will be more susceptible unless there’s regulation but very difficult to regulate crypto
crypto is a scam. and a ponzi scheme
It has literally created billionaires.
Most anti-crypto folks are
1. Part of the establishment
2. Don’t understand it / Don’t want to understand it
Reporters ask Warren Buffett what he thinks of crypto expecting an authoritative answer from someone who only uses his computer to play bridge.
yeah radically change the world for the worse
i’ve yet to see an argument for crypto that will benefit the majority of ppl, but maybe i’m short sighted
In a crypto-utopia, power is diffuse, instead of being concentrated in the hands of authoritarian governments and corporations.
@Womanpuncher69
you have to explain this further bc this is a really big claim, and i don’t see power just dissolving completely with the advancement of blockchain technology
i’m genuinely asking to be educated here not trying to be a d***, ik i got a tone but seriously, i don’t get why the average person should be excited

A lot of people will always be against innovation, the internet was hated, cars were hated, as were many other new radical changes
Have you looked into the other aspects of crypto like defi and dapps? People who understand this tech know what's coming

Look up blockchain tech, decentralized finance and what benefit it could have on society. Like everything, it has its pros and cons
Knew a guy who had like 5 bitcoin back in like 2012 or something like that. Wish I would have invested
If I would have invested 10 bitcoin in 2012 for around $100+ I would have like what 500k today lol

Bitcoin eradicates the need for a middle man - like a financial institution, PayPal, CashApp, etc. for transactions.
This is what people mean when they say "decentralized." Nobody can freeze your account. Nobody charges a fee for transactions.

Not to step on what someone else may reply with, but the concepts of crypto and the block chain have absolutely been co-opted (if not outright created/propped up) by the Banking system. The same dark scary forces who decide the USD is no longer going to reign supreme are probably capable of jerking crypto holders around as violently as they please through legislation or manipulation of BTC. They just won't (or it'll be less severe & more nuanced/strategic), because this is indeed the tech they want to use everywhere moving forward. But I don't for one second buy this idea that investing into crypto is somehow a big "fuck you" to the Man. That, to me, is delusional

I’m so excited about what the future holds for Ethereum. Vitalik is a f***ing genius.
Literally nobody in my circle knows what it is.
That's exactly what's happening right now. Better do something to counteract it for your own good and future stability.
Bruh, it ain’t that deep lmao.

thank you bro. everyone so far has given me vague bits of info that i already know or have heard elsewhere
i do not see a future where block chains are not governed by some sort of financial or government institution. not a future i wanna see, not even saying it’s guaranteed, but it’s the only thing i see coming
i do not in anyway comprehend how this can be seen as “anti establishment”
Listen, i get that y’all made 2 grand selling crypto; congrats! but that s*** will never ever ever ever ever be as or more popular than “real” money. It’s not a fad tho, jus an alternative.

That renegade aspects of Bitcoin have withered, no doubt. For better or for worse? I can’t say.
