I think at the time they wanted to release it 19/20 the hype wasn’t there and they needed to earn that back from the public. Life is good was the start of that.

Now the hype is back because they earned it.

Do we really need a full album? Or would you rather have songs sprinkled on their albums?

Back in 2019/20 no.
But now I wouldn’t mind it as long as there’s an actual effort put in and not some thrown together scraps to make an album.
