Great story @op ty for sharing, happy for you
Grew up in religion, got outta Shawshank, but I'm glad it's doing something for you op
there's a good and bad to this
good: you got a foundation that (I consider) is good
bad: when you get something so important decided for you at such a young age 9/10 times you're going to abandon it
That's such a fact. I don't Know why but I 100% believe this is FACTZ!
Great story @op ty for sharing, happy for you
ty for reading and posting

I hope you’re blessed with the discipline and strength to stay consistent in your journey wit Jahnem. Should make friends with the pastor u spoke to, always good to have friends who are serious about God

he's not a pastor, he's a priest. I'm not protestant
but yes, once you find someone that speaks to your heart keep em close

Oh cool I never knew the difference
Oh cool I never knew the difference
yes, but you knew in all 3 pages of this thread to be the one to point out this man's kindness
I know this might sound preachy but its the truth and im sticking to it.
so
I lost my one source of income
lost alot of good people from being toxic
a close relative passed away (basically my 2nd mother)
my sickly condition got worse
went on a pill-popping binge
but just when I was about to take a ''terminal decision'' I thought ''I might as well pray and go to church to make my peace'' and that's when everything changed.....a preacher told me that ''son, you have to take it easy, life is hard, sad and difficult. otherwise what would Christ come to save us from if everything was perfect? but you know what? you're not alone.Martyrs endured torture for their faith, not cause they were inhuman but cause they had the comfort of knowing what awaited them at the end of the road was worth hurting for.''
and like that, the weight was lifted. I'm still going to struggle, cry, bleed and all that but now there's purpose to the suffering
and to those that are wondering why I made this thread when most people will either ignore it or laugh at it the answer is that I hope I can be of some use to even 0,01% of people that stumble upon this.
Have a blessed day yall.
Love this, stay blessed bro
good to hear fam. to find meaning in suffering is a very powerful mindset. hedonism mad overrated
