You mean the rapist with no original ideas that initially made a name for himself rehashing decade old trends and exploiting white suburban kids on Tumblr that weren't into hip hop and fashion until odd future, but swore that Ian was their fashion inspiration because no one in that space at the time had the context or wherewithal to google search "what shirt was Kanye wearing in the __"

You mean that guy, you sure about that?

I don’t like Ian at all but tbh that sounds like a good microcosm for the decade in hypebeasting

Yeah but trends go away and come back so quit trying to be Mr Smart guy

Shut the f*** up c***it was never a "trend" it has literally been a thing for decades.

Again, y'all just uncultured cacs and would rather give credit to a 5'4 gremlin pedophile and rapist.

A$AP Rocky is far more influential than Ian Connor.

Rocky was the one who first started saying ‘RAF Simons’ ‘Rick Owens’ and wearing high fashion properly in mainstream Hip Hop.

Rocky gave Ian a platform and really put him on.

Dyed dreads have been a thing forever.

"Dad hats" can be traced back to when Kanye, Pharrell, Nigo, Ashton Kutcher and Justin Timberlake were all wearing Vonn Dutch and Bape hats in the early 2000s.

Everyone that got put onto to Supreme around the same time Ian was "on the come up" was doing so because of Odd Future, Ian included. It was relatively a big deal at the time within that part of the Tumblr community, to the point where their used to be Tumblr blogs dedicated to exposing hypebeast that were wearing fake preme and/or were wearing it because they were blatant odd future fans.

And the whole thing with Tumblr can be credited to dudes like SGP, Yams and again, Odd Future.

I've noticed that everyone that swears by Ian gives these revisionist allegories filled misleading information and most people who were frequenting forums and tumblr during those times would tell you that this man's hype in the early days is mostly hyperbole.

Explain to me how a thing that has been done by black people in the US and West Indies throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s is a trend now

Get out the suburbs and actually spend time around black people instead of just getting your information from some nigga with a Tumblr

Cacs on KTT will really try and tell you about your own culture that you grew up in and around your whole life when chances are they just discovered many of the nuances and styles of your culture within this decade from some dude who was on Twitter or Tumblr
