Lmao you so wrong.
Flower Boy and post flower boy is infinitely MORE PROFITABLE AND ACCESSIBLE
he would not get half the deals he has gotten since without dropping flower boy
there is no "youre wrong"
its reality

you said that he was not profitable before he changed his image, That’s objectively not true because he launched his career in the careers of our future off of that authentic image. He was still being an edgelord While producing Loiter Squad And selling GOLF merch. He got major sponsorships pre Flower Boy and CAMP FLOGNAW launched in 2012.
I will argue that he still being his authentic self. He’s just not a child anymore.
He’s consistently been not addressing that part of it
And he won’t lol
When tyler was fully himself and "authentic" he wasnt profitable......
what this mean tho? you don't think he was authentic on flowerboy lol?
When tyler was fully himself and "authentic" he wasnt profitable......
This guy has been wrong about Tyler this entire time man. How do y'all do it?
na

when I say profitable I mean to the same degree same way if Ian or even when Jack Harlow just started only so profitable
a white person rapping simply is only so profitable til there is a machine
This guy has been wrong about Tyler this entire time man. How do y'all do it?
if you disagree with me that is perfectly fine but I am not a daycare for you quote multiple times saying "wrong" like go to school
This guy has been wrong about Tyler this entire time man. How do y'all do it?
I mean when he was uncensored. Now he has a catered image that he will only deviate from so much . He will never be an edgelord again for good reason.
Bruh was with Mountain Dew shooting commercials lmao

they literally pulled the ad and apologized for it......
you are getting at my point......
"well he did that ad that is banned and the company apologized for "
YES THAT CHANGED HIM SOME
are you being dense or just slow?

So basically you used the wrong word?
I would argue that Tyler, The Creator was making more Money back then than Ian (or maybe Jack Harlow but the industry relaly loved him for a year)
He had a successful And extremely popular rap group while having sponsorships from like Mountain Dew, selling millions of dollars worth of GOLF merch and Camp Flognaw. Tyler, The Creator had a TV show that was nationally broadcasted for years.

"wrong word"
I have typed paragraphs in this thread clarifying entire view point, with a***ogies, comparisons and different ways to view it that make clear I understand what I am talking about. "profitable" compared to where he was with OF and would be if he stayed along that path vs now is exponentially different. We all know that. Y'all like telling people they are wrong over and over often instead of having a full discussion

Okay what about everything else I just said? Like him being on TV or his clothing deals or his festival or his music group?
he still made a s*** ton of money Definitely more than Ian
I mean when he was uncensored. Now he has a catered image that he will only deviate from so much . He will never be an edgelord again for good reason.
maybe because hes in his 30s lmao
I have expanded in the past 7 hours and its a pretty simple take of if at 19 its Ian being edgy as tyler was or cultural apropriation
I would choose Ian doing what he doing....
Bruh you're confusing two different discussions of subject matter and authenticity.
If Ian was truly trapping or ever was a part Atlanta, trap, or making money moves, then the discussion is over. But we haven't seen that.
Ian has surface level raps (like really f***ing surface level brag raps), attempts to cosplay s*** that doesn't relate to his life, and is using "I'm a regular corny white guy rapping like I'm from Atlanta" as his schtick. But it doesn't feel ironic. Lil D***y did that better.
People don't like that easy low barrier of entry approach being carried by old beats.
Tyler was legit rapping with skill, different subject matter, did include controversial edgy s*** to piss people off with the same direction as previous horrorcore artists, and had respect for a lot of hip-hop OG's. He care's about his craft from the jump. Plus his subject matter was storytelling in a trilogy album about characters he created.
I would rather have Ian attempt to rap like early Eminem or Tyler cause that would be more believable, or quickly work on his lyrics pronto. He's not bringing anything new to the table lol

The argument of people rapping the life they live in their lyrics has been had whether that is about black rappers or white. The issue is the appropriation in general. Lol even if Ian was trapping many of us including myself would still have an issue with him and how he is marketed whether he needed to trap or not . Because they are marketing him as accessible
I know he is surface level raps for the market he is appealing too ( Not me) that is ALL HE NEEDS TO DO. "it doesnt feel ironic"

this is his album cover and it doesn't feel ironic to you
Tyler infinitely cares / cared about the craft more than ian does or likely ever will. That isn't to deny there were people Tyler age right now telling him to stop
For all we know Ian changes his sound or his purpose up
but questioning a 19 year old focused on profit more than the record label, manager and cycle is what gets me
again 69 popped back up recently making music
y'all are agreeing with me in so many ways and not realizing it or being dense for no reason
Becasue I have said an edgy white rapper rapping like tyler did or him cosplaying white rapper both unneeded in the scene to me
I am not even a fan of Ian . This is like when that dumb nigga said " drake is bigger than diddy"
I dont like Diddy but that s*** just not right
🤣
like what are we talking about here
the man who ate roaches in a music video at that age cant really say "I dont like meme artist"
you were a successful f***ing MEME

this how I know you never really listened to him, Early Tyler Is not meme music? It was just popular online and it was edgy. What memes were attached to goblin and wolf?

He definitely blew up because of Yonkers, but he always took music making serious and always put 100% effort in to the craft
🤣
