i just found out about this show from hasanabi's streams this week & this has to be one of the most insane things ive ever seen. i've only just started the third episode but so far the white dad has said the n word with a hard r at least 8 times (the first took less than 20 minutes into episode one), the white mom was shopping for church clothes to go to a black church & bought dashikis, & the white daughter went to a slam poetry group & freestyle rapped. i cant stop watching this trainwreck

kinda, theyll get in white/blackface then go out & do some activity to try & get a sense of experiencing life w/ the other skin colour. for example the white dad & mom (in blackface) go to this group discussion where black people talk about discrimination & racism. the guy leading the group asks if anyone has ever experienced being called a racial epithet directly & the white dad raises his hand & says he used to be a 'bouncer at a disco' & that sometimes drunk people would call him the n word. he says it with a hard r and everything. oh but anytime anyone tries to tell him about real discrimination he's incredibly dismissive & says its not real & doesnt happen
