I just wish he’d go / would go the Jay-Z route and update his production

Hov was able to stay relevant by switching up lyrics without selling out and always staying current and fresh with production

    Cube needs his 444

Cube’s last album was so f***in awful. It was sad lmao

Need Cube to stop rapping on 3rd rate early 2000s west coast beats and experiment

The Predator is Cube’s best album IMO

Everyone says Death Certificate but I HIGHLY disagree

    Predator > AMW > DC

He wrote so many classics for NWA as well, he has a consistent discography that not many can compare to that. It’s full of good songs the albums that don’t hit as much. He has great songs he did on artists like a the games album, Dres album Compton, so many others and plus he always stands on his own mostly when it comes to a hit. Example with like a basic revitalizing yourself without mentioning the classics of the 90s Why we thugs crazy song had crazy replay value and was a hit that was played everywhere.

I gotta agree with you here though the predator is amazing, I’m a huge fan of amerikkkas most wanted myself and the lore that Ice Cube helped produce that album plus that album was just so menacing and still to this day it’s Like Cube still had so much NWA inside of him to give. Back to the predator that album is a wonderful album and you right it’s underrated when they talk about that album.

this song is so damn good.

I am the west had some bangers and some good songs but yes Raw Footage was a modern day classic. When we leave behind the 90s. War and peace don’t get enough love to me either. Like the Cube & Krayzie bone song and the Dr frakenstien on war.

This would be an approach refreshing for Cube fans and cube himself. Why couldn’t we get the helter skelter album with Dre. Just wish we got more natural born killers music from them both in a full project.

    A custom cover.

Ice Cube began recording The Predator in early 1992 but the album took on a completely different direction in the wake of the six days of rioting in Los Angeles which began on April 29. The riots were sparked by the acquittal of the four policemen and, like most people, Cube was deeply disturbed by the verdict.

@DonutHole this a cool piece of Lore about a classic in the Ice Cube discography.

The closest we got to helter skelter was this album because the D.O.C. Wrote some of the album got upset it didn’t come out and released this.

For whatever reason, this album never came out. Dre left Death Row in 96 to focus on Aftermath, while Cube got deeper into his career as an actor. In an interview you can find online, Cube blames Eminems explosion for why Dre couldn't focus on the album, but that makes little sense since Eminem wasn't around during the Death Row/1994 days. The D.O.C, great West Coast rapper and friend of Dre; also creator of the Death Row label name, got mad at Dre for not paying him for ghostwriting for him during his time at Death Row. So he left Death Row and released his own Helter Skelter album in 1996, keeping the name to spite Dre. He even took a lot of the lyrics he had wrote for Dre and that album. Though the album was largely ignored, its about as close as we'll get to ever actually having the project.

I was about to ask why Cube could say what he said on No Vaseline but MJ got in all kinds of trouble for They Don’t Care about us.
Then I remembered how much they saw rap as garbage back then
And that that was Michael Jackson using slurs, gave me the conclusion that’s not a good question at all
