Second, Trump has declared that the United States is being invaded, and is using that to justify utilizing a law from 1798, which hadn’t been used since WW2 when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, which is probably FDRs biggest blemish but that’s besides the point. Regardless, much different than the situation we’re in. Immigration is not an invasion, so they’re claiming Venezuela is sending gang members to the United States and justifying grabbing immigrants from all different countries.
Note that the United States is responsible for political unrest in Latin America through CIA cover actions, coups, funding rightwing paramilitary groups, and sanctions. These people are leaving their countries to come to the states because we turned their countries upside down.

Third, they infamously sent an immigrant, with legal status and an order from a judge not to deport, to one of the harshest prisons in the world for violent gang members in El Salvador. Other people that are legal citizens have been arrested even after showing documentation, ICE just claims it’s fake. There is a right to due process guaranteed to all people in America that has been ignored. There’s a legal process for deportations, and they are simple hearings they’re not full on trials that take forever like the administration says. The administration also says they don’t get due process because they aren’t citizens, and they waiver due process when they came in illegally. But it doesn’t work like that. Otherwise they could grab me, say my ID is fake, and ship my ass out of the country, like they’ve done with many people so far.

The US is a country of immigrants. Even the white man is an immigrant. This land belongs to the natives but the white man took it from them. Since then the white man has built their wealth and their privilege by exploiting those that aren't white. Immigrants regardless of documentation status are the American dream. I as a Mexican American am more American than any white man could ever be.

_ _Immigration in the US is actually below average relative to its population size. Mexicans make up the vast majority of immigrants to the United States. The United States, under either party, is to blame for taking advantage and employing a large number of Mexicans in low-skilled, low-paying jobs, so it's their fault. Now they're deporting people like them.
And, if you've done any research, you'll notice that they are forcibly removing people, whether they're legal immigrants or not, without due process, which is against the law. The current administration granted ICE the authority to do so, and some of them were shipped to countries from which they did not originate.
Any country that promotes "freedom" should be able to accept asylum seekers who simply want to thrive and live without fear, but fear is present in the United States these days.

already see it playing out, California heavily subsidize the federal government and all red states that are a net negative on the economy. while California is the fourth largest economy in the world and basically keeps the US economy afloat with a couple other states. Trump can’t legally withhold any funding without Congress so it would immediately be challenged and the whole time California would be threatening to hold payments

it's a broken inefficient and classist system. There is no intention to fix it because then you would lose all this exploitable labor. You gotta understand what is happening rn in this country is a lose/lose situation and it's only a distraction while government becomes privatized for the wealthy.
