It was recorded with rain dripping through cracks in the ceiling of Namouche Studios in Lisbon, with Sonic Boom (of Spacemen 3) in the producer's seat together with Nis Bysted. It features choir arrangements by Lisbon's Gospel Collective and mixed by Shawn Everett. via Instagram.
Crime is the undercurrent that runs through everything. If you don’t see it, you’re not looking. In its invincible politics, it is the glue that binds it all together. Vendetta is an impartial dance along the illicit lines of infraction. via Instagram.
The song lives in a slurred world, movements are elastically stretched out and strength is found in weakness while you find it hard to tell the difference between fume and matter. Gently the swaying intensifies, feel it escalate. Reach out for the holding hand, it seems almost within scope now. -- Elias Rønnenfelt

had me hyped but vocals completely take me out of the atmosphere
signing with Mexican Summer is uh, very f***ing interesting to say the least. That label isn’t really known for championing these kinds of acts.

had a similar thought.
mexican summer did press the preoccupations debut so there is a recent precedent for working with a "post punk" "guitar" group.
hope they share some context on that in an interview.
my guess is whatever caused them to leave matador is the reason the record didn't get released last year when it was likely already finished
wasn't their already an iceage thread?
either way, good to see them releasing new music

Looks like 12pm EST for Americans, since the song comes out with the video.
Really, really excited for 'Dear Saint Cecilia'.
Live cut of 'Love Kills Slowly' a year ago:
Where should I start with these guys if I wanna get into them? I've only heard catchit, like that track a lot tho. Best or most accessible album?

Beyondless (album with 'Catch It') is the most accessible. Their albums are fairly different. First two are pure punk, their most unique work, and also their best. 'Plowing Into the Field of Love' is the start of the band's newer style (These Immortal Souls is the best comparison) which looks like will continue into this new album.
For you I'd rec: Plowing --> Beyondless --> New album, see how you feel --> New Brigade --> You're Nothing
