If they choose to keep the tracklist the same, they should do at least one or two more run-throughs of ironing mixes/vocals out like this, and it'll end up as an 8/10 album with gems that rival 2013-2015 era tracks.
Yup, exactly; this update elevated the R&B songs on this to classic level
Vocals/mixing are finally close to pre-IYRTITL, he just needs to replace the gimmick & conversational songs on here with actual rapping tracks and it's a classic
Is Drew A Picasso or Polar Opposites any different?
Glad I wasn't tweaking
Now I'm curious which tracks you would categorise as gimmick/conversational?
Gently -> Another Late Night
Gimmick tracks
First Person Shooter, Fear Of Heights, Drew A Picasso, 7969 Santa, 8AM in Charlotte
Genuinely underwhelming and boring tracks when he raps over those beats with those flows (the stereotypical cringe "trap" flow and his monotonous new "storytelling" flow)

Drew A Picasso sounds louder, that's it
I don't remember if the piano on Polar Opposites was there before or if the kicks were that heavy, but I barely listened to it before so grain of salt that
Maybe slightly less autotune on the latter too

Agreed on the gently to another late night run. I could do without those, although I enjoy them a lot more after the update.
Personally, I love 8am, picasso, 7969, but I see your point with those.
Absolutely agree with the "trap" flow though. Wish he used the 2013-15 faster rap flow and beat choice (5am, wu-tang/the motion verses, the language, versace, believe me etc.) more again in place of the trap tracks. That's why I really enjoy WWPD, need more tracks like that.

Yeah, WWPD is just a good record and doesn't rely on the flow tropes that he employs on the other songs
8AM/Picasso/7969 aren't bad tracks by any means but considering they represent a large portion of the rap on the album, it's just underwhelming compared to his older work
The songs you mentioned are when he was actually tearing s*** up rap-wise
on the second last time the hook plays Sexyyy Red is censored while saying ass the first time, but the rest of the hook is the same lol
I would enjoy it if it was intentional, but I'm not sure it is
I thought I was tripping the first 2 times I heard it lmao
He should’ve removed that girl talking on Calling For You
makes the song barely listenable tbh
Anyone re-download it on iTunes to see if it's updated there or is this Streaming only?
makes the song barely listenable tbh
I love Drake’s part in the first half, but as soon as the girl starts talking I just skip the song tbh

same
Yeah, think hearing the first verse verse updated just made the second one sound worse than before in comparison
I’m the second verse at 3:14 you can hear that they switch back to the old vocal/mix . Weird

agreed, wish he made it a full 3 min song or just left it at a 1min30
You guys have way better ears than me bc I’m not noticing much even tho I’ve run the album back at least 15 times
honestly hate kanye for introducing the unfinished album that gets updated later type of release
why couldn’t they just wait another week or two
until they got the mix perfect before releasing
esp for someone like drake who could pushback his album 5x till next year and still have the biggest rap record on the charts
He should’ve removed that girl talking on Calling For You
I actually think it bridges the Drake and 21 verses perfectly. Puts you into that demonic ass savage energy wanting to tell that girl off
