Id say frank is the 2nd most popular alternative pop/rnb male act (abel being no 1). Using that comparison lets use a suprise-ish drop from the number one male alt artist (honestly male pop artist period, it’s just that for male pop in general frank is even less popular top 10, maybe top 5 ) my dear Melancholy, that sold 170k first week.

So a suprise drop by frank is definitely not doing that imo.

Both new singles were well received by his fans, he was #1 on Twitter when they came out, he was trending over Drake when that toosie whatever came out. You really underestimate him just because he doesnt release all the time but he has one of the most hardcore fanbases in music
