Time and time again we decide to post threads from nobodies quoting nobodies

The part about bringing back shutting the f*** up is true though

As opposed to what? Cardi and Joe Budden beef thread over there if you need something to really sink your teeth into

Chuck Inglish aint a nobody lol

I’m aware of the cool kids, Im saying this is evidently a “where’s ja” moment

Who the f*** cares what Chuck Inglish has to say about the specific instance. I don’t even know why I’m in this thread, but we know it’s not true. There’s tons of introspective and socially conscious rap out there, even in the mainstream (Kendrick)

He pioneered the backpack movement and he’s speaking on backpack rap?

Damn why’d she come at him so sideways lol he’s prob right

And his point is not true

If you have enough talent and charisma like Kanye did in the early 00s you can make it

What’s there to say that hasn’t been said before or doesn’t make you sound like a cynical boomer?

The youth of today seems to have decided that putting any effort into music is corny or tryhard, that’s why s*** is just the same cadence over a drum loop that don’t change rapping about s*** they don’t have and don’t do lol. Any type of s*** that requires you to learn a skill a bit deeper or master your craft is met with “ts not that serious😭😭” or “corny ahh beat😭😭” from the TikTok crowd that inevitably controls what blows up

Sorry for making a Chuck Inglish joke i didn’t realize this was a #serious thread

Why do i care about sounding like a cynical boomer to a bunch of dumb young niggas. These young niggas are lost and born into a post 2016 rap culture im not giving up the POV i gained in prime Wayne Ye datpiff etc era to not be “cynical” to some dumb nigga who dresses like 2006 lil wayne anyway but doesnt know

I feel you but like…at what point do we turn into old man yelling at cloud ykwim?

Feels like hip hop is in a weird spot rn where commercially the rappers from our generation are still pulling the most numbers but the kids of today got their own s*** going on. Hip hop will always be run by the kids and I don’t think that’s gonna change anytime soon

We literally came out of an underground renaissance in the late 2010s with the slums and adjacent of self empowering and conscious rap and rnb. If you don’t want to follow that then that’s your problem, not everything will be served on a silver platter
