But he doesn't and he's just trying sell you some overpriced tech. The stem player is cool but this isn't about fixing streaming
you're gonna be able to listen to the album the same day everyone else will. stop panicking and trust the process.
If my dude was for the people he wouldn't be making his people spend half of their minimum wage weekly pay checks on some bullshit

Its a s***ty marketing ploy

Even if this is the case it's just as bad. Influencing his fans to spend $200 that they don't have, turn around and they waste it. Our mans is misguided.

Do we know for sure he won't sell the album digitally?
Do we know for sure he won't sell the album digitally?
According to him no (so far). Still s*** regardless to not be fully transparent
Everything Kanye does it to benefit Kanye. He has not changed a bit since the very beginning.
Do we know for sure he won't sell the album digitally?
Wouldn't a portion of the sales still go to the label if sold digitally?

I thought he was off Def Jam and an independent artist
the whole marketing strategy is that we should wanna pay more and be inconvenienced because this new revolutionary format is gonna be a lot more fair to the billionaire
I thought he was off Def Jam and an independent artist
That's what I thought but the deluxe is under defjam so not too sure. Plus they still seem to be promoting him on their page.
If my dude was for the people he wouldn't be making his people spend half of their minimum wage weekly pay checks on some bullshit
no one is making you do anything
you absolutely should not buy the player unless its an easy $200 purchase
why is this even a debate idiots.
This isn't no average Joe rapper, somebody has to set the blocks HIGH and value there s*** HIGH. how can you complain at apple and then market the thing at 9$. Its ye it was always going to be something stupid priced.
that said, "a million downloaded my truth over the drums"
hes been caught downloading plugins. ofcourse if you not gonna pay he gonna expect you to download the torrent
Nothing he argued was ever about "fixing" streaming, it was about artists walking away and building platforms for themselves. So yes, this is very much about himself. Other artists will need to fight for themselves. The reality is no person or company is coming to save them from the issues of payouts. Even when Jay tried to market Tidal as an artists first platform it ended up being self serving up to the point he sold the percentages to Sprint and Square for hundreds of millions and board seats.
at best he's just showing what it can look like to boycott the biggest consumption avenue for a few while still making money. He's just being the example. Selling digitally could work for other artists but Ye is clearly on a mission to promote his device and platform instead.
In the end if he does go with this it will be available to everyone for free lol. He knows we will just download it.
