Who do we credit his verses to ? No cap he has some of my favourite and most memorable verses, but when you talk wit other hip hop heads they say they can’t put kanye as their favourite rapper cuz he doesn’t write his s***.

greatest artist
So i guess it’s the greatest artist rapped some of my favorite verses
Kanye writes his s*** except when he says he doesn't lol (which was only on Violent Crimes if I'm not mistaken)
i mean i don't think kanye is that strong of a rapper lyrically all the time, but a lot of his s*** is quotable and he does have some great lyrics especially in his older stuff, and regardless of if he writes his raps or not his voice, energy, and vision are what make me like ye as much as i do
i much rather hear kanye rap a verse that cyhi wrote than hear cyhi rap that same verse, same goes for any of his ghost writers
I live by two words: f*** you, pay me!
Lmfao I’m picturing seinfield saying this

Iirc Jesus walks was written by rhymefest
a lot of CD-808s was ye. a lot of verses on dark fantasy were ye.
ye wrote KSG, no more parties in la etc
why do we keep having these discussions
Iirc Jesus walks was written by rhymefest
Nah but he was originally featured on it, there's a version with his verse somewhere. He is credited as a co-writer though, but Ye was playing Jesus Walks to people to show his lyrical skills before it was finished I think.
Kanye having writers yet his rapping declining on his solo albums post MBDTF with flashes of greatness like NMPILA and Saint Pablo doesn’t add up.
people don't realize, the writers are mainly just deciphering ye's references
they might add a line/ change a phrase
but 70%-80% of it's coming from his mind

This exactly. I mean, just look at the album credits. Ye is super generous with this writing credits, especially post 808's.
I do believe Ye wrote 80% of his catalogue. Also for the most part he wrote the most memorable verses.
