The verses were fire, and the chorus would have been well received too if it wasn’t recycled so much

A well made track shines, even if it's part of a s***ty or great LP. The fact that "Lost In The Fire" isn't mentioned as often as-and doesn't receive the same praise as-say, the mixtape tracks, it's because it's not as good as the mixtape tracks.

Plus that's what you get when you make pop music; with few exceptions, pop tracks lose their splendor at most two months after release.

Song is decent. The hook is probably its weakest part. Also the track feels like all his other electric/pop-esque tracks he’s made like the one with Kendrick and the other one that he made for GoT.

the song came out at a bad time, and was too similar to previous tracks released around the same time, on top of having a bad hook

all that combined deserves a bad reception for a track, in my opinion.

However it’s not awful, I’d say it’s a 6.5-7/10

The song wouldn’t even fit in Kiss Land. The song most similar to it is probably Wanderlust, and most people hated that track when it came out. so in actuality I don’t think anything would be that different

I agree w/ the sentiment that LOTF sounds like a combination of Starboy, Odd look and Hurt you. I just don't think that those three are "brothers" if you listen independently.

LOTF is definitely a derivative of Hurt You. I didn't understand why you didn't mention it specifically. But I don't have your sophisticated musical ear and I can't read either so what do I know.
