and with these features thug is 100% still on his SMF style. he just getting more popular, why let it go yet? . thats for the next album
THIS! That was the day I stopped playing the album all the way through. Thug absolutely SLAUGHTERED that last verse, just to have it f***ing replaced with a MGK verse. That s*** was stupid af. I would’ve tolerated more if they kept Thug’s second verse.
i keep saying. if it was Thug v1 -> MGK -> Thug v2, i’d have 0 problem with the song

something i’ve noticed for his 2020 songs is he’s more singy now than he was for SMF, aside from Just How It Is

for sure it's switched a bit
for sure it's switched a bit
def very similar to SMF era still tho
his transition to a new style is a bit slower this album process than usual, but the direction he’s been headed seems promising. i think he’s gonna start an R&B run soon

i mean for a long time now i've thought he's eventually going to end up a R&b artist lol

Travis been a bad influence on him and Gunna since Hot Remix IMO
SMF is my least favorite Thug album
Still great, but definitely not for me
We really need an R&B album from Thug
I think 2017 was his peak so far his most eccentric flows and some of his best music were from that year
He doesn't rap like that a lot nowadays although that feature on navs album had that vibe
Travis been a bad influence on him and Gunna since Hot Remix IMO
travis ain’t done s*** to influence thug lol
even his "least creative album" is still crazy asf by regular rapper standards
Been saying this. If gunna or baby or keed dropped smf people would act like it's a classic
travis ain’t done s*** to influence thug lol
Meant more in terms of dumbing his sound down on features to get more traffic

Basically been on an rnb run for a year or two if you just look at the pop radio features
Two artists ktt will never turn on bc we treat them like make a wish kids: Future and Young Thug
SMF was a good album tho idk why niggas hate it so much
