Imo load management became a thing when LeBron stopped giving a f*** about MVP and DPOY in Miami. The Heat were mostly coasting and taking games off so they could be rested for the playoffs

I don’t blame Popp and the Spurs because unlike the Heat, they had an old ass core that had to take breaks once in a while not the best player in the world at his physical peak
