Pascal's wager is an argument in philosophy presented by the seventeenth-century French philosopher, mathematician and physicist, Blaise Pascal (1623–1662).1 It posits that humans bet with their lives that God either exists or does not.
Pascal argues that a rational person should live as though God exists and seek to believe in God. If God does not actually exist, such a person will have only a finite loss (some pleasures, luxury, etc.), whereas he stands to receive infinite gains (as represented by eternity in Heaven) and avoid infinite losses (eternity in Hell)
Thankfully if god is actually real all you have to do is ask for forgiveness and it will be granted
I'll keep doing me and if it turns out he's real I'll just hit him with "my fault boss" and walk right into heaven
Pascal's wager is dumb, it expects that if a god did exist he'd be so easily fooled.
Any good god should respect more the person who goes by what makes sense to them, not giving up your critical faculties in return for constant leaps of faith, believing in things based on no good evidence or reason. I don't f*** with any god who thinks otherwise.

Aka “I dont understand the concept of God but I’ll pretend I do to get KTT likes”
Aka “I dont understand the concept of God but I’ll pretend I do to get KTT likes”
neither do you. no one does.
religion is fake but the existence of “god” could be plausible but the definition and concept of “god” would be different.
I realistically believe most of us will go to the good side of the afterlife. We are all a bit too hard on ourselves sometimes and our bad is caused by those in power.
I’m not really religious but I’m pretty sure there is a God, btw
In order for us to exist, there must be something responsible for it, hence a “god”
It's 2020 and you're using Pascal's Wager like no atheist has ever heard of it. 😂
What if you are praying to the wrong God? What if it's actually rejecting God that would grant you access to the afterlife which is something anti-cosmic Satanists believe? What if there is more than one afterlife and praying to your God isn't as rewarding as praying to another God? What if God rewards everyone with an afterlife regardless of what you believed or did in life which is something a lot of people believe (universal reconciliation)? What if God exists but has no plans to reward anyone with an afterlife?
The whole argument is based on the assumption that there are only two possible outcomes when there are as many outcomes as people have religions and what if none of our human religions are right and some aliens show up telling us about their religions? Your chances that you are actually praying to the right God and doing the right things are pretty low.
Wow it looks like 99.8% of people on this forum are headed to hell.
Couldn’t be me
Jesus save my people please
You headed to hell for heaven’s sakes, huh
Well I’mma levitate, make the devil wait, yeah!

please go take intro philosophy lol

But like when you read the Bible, this actually almost fits. It’s like seeing your faults, and admiting your need is all it takes. That’s it. Damn. Then you get Kanye concerts for eternity. Lol but I’m no expert.... I do know atheists, Christians, and whoever else.... no one is 100% sure what will end up being true... crazy when u think about it f***
