My parents never let me go to ANY body house as a kid for a sleepover.

Only time I slept over was when my whole fam was visiting.

Yea same. I use to be mad as f*** as a shorty about it. They only let me sleep over my cousins crib, or other Nigerians who are family friends, and they already knew for 10+ years. I'mma probably do the same thing once I have kids too tbh

I never understood it, looking back at it - all my non-immigrant friends that used to go over to each other’s houses at night for sleepovers were so FREE? as a kid, I was like, “y’all grown?”.

Come to find out, them same mfs went to those sleepovers & got some weird, fruity & flexible s*** done to em man, now they all fked up in the head, on crack, etc.
