I think if you don't want to vote then you have the right to do so. Nobody should be able to force you to vote. But, calling this a strict two party system is disingenuous. Democrats and Republicans are more like two factions in other democracies. There is a range of ideologies within and the mainstream ideologies change constantly over time. George W Bush has little in common with Trump. Clinton and Obama/Biden couldn't be more different. Voting, especially in the primaries, can shift which political ideologies are going to dominate and that can make a difference. I'm thinking about the US Senate race in California. Saying Barbara Lee, Katie Porter and Adam Schiff are the same so you couldn't be bothered to vote because they are Democrats would've been an L for you. One was pro-Palestine, one pro-Israel ceasefire, one pro-Israel no-ceasefire. The no-ceasefire guy won cause y'all stayed home to "protest"? God help us if you don't see the difference because the difference amounts to thousands of real human lives. You are not taking the high road out of a moral dilemma by not voting. They're counting on you to not vote so they can game the system especially Trump.

for me it takes minimal effort to vote and from a non terminally online perspective biden is like a smidge or two better than trump, so why not tbh

as long as youre not going into it expecting some kind of fundamental change I dont think its a huge deal to vote

Main thing I don’t get is how Biden won the primaries so easily. Feel like almost no democrat wants that guy and still he basically had no competition.

palestinians do not support biden. do we matter to you? are we not humans? like you said, voting is low effort so why not vote for someone who doesnt support the genocide against us, or voting for nobody at all in protest?

also "not voting in protest" doesnt do s***, you have to actually have leverage over people if you want them to change. I understand that voting in america is not a meaningful source of change (outside of local politics) so I don't view it that way to begin with

If you want to vote dem at the local and state level for whatever reason pertains to your state and you think it can at the very least mitigate some of the worst excesses of bourgeois rule.

Biden has been on pen and paper apart of bourgeois government for much longer. He has done more damage to POC communities and has accelerated the imperialist agenda. I truthfully think Biden is more ideologically committed to Zionism but Trump’s base is more openly Zionist and Trump is a grifter who will play into whatever he needs. So he will saber rattle of some righteous Judeo warrior
