Synopsishave you ever stopped and thought that maybe all those issues i laid out (underfunding, understaffed, lack of programs etc.,) directly contributes to their failing in conjunction with external factors? or you cant think it through too hard? these issues connect

in your little world maybe but the fact remains that in reality, the issues are connected. children failing before they ever go to school is exacerbated by what they will be faced with in school, and many children have gone into the school system and failed directly because of it.

Jul 22, 2021SynopsisP simple so i wont expand too much, but our government, since at least the 80s (but really the 70s) has been trying to privatize most state (read: government) functions and to instead auction them off to private interests, who then operate them under the profit motive.
So as you know we already have private schools operating alongside public schools. there are certain factions that would prefer we just get rid of public schools entirely, so for them, if the public schools are failing or can be shown to to be failing, then they can increase privatization.
ofc this is wildly unpopular, so they also move to other alternatives to education (this is where you have guys like bill gates always talking about radically different education) that pretty much just amounts to getting rid of the physical school building and making everything remote/online etc,.
