F***ing clint eastwood helped created one of the goat anime characters of all time.
Coincidently Eastwood, got his break from Italians trying to copy a Kurosawa film in a Western setting with the For a Dollar trilogy.
Yes, It does. This is literally what appropriation looks like. An outsider dictating what the rules are for a culture that they didn’t make. It’s ridiculous
Well not really. Appropriation is when you strip parts of content from its original form to what is acceptable for you and your culture, and trying to dictate that the original form be rebranded to better suit you. Gatekeeping, despite the stigma around the word, is about understanding, respecting, and preserving the original media in all its glory.
The only shown I’ve ever liked as much as fma brotherhood is attack on titan
i watched some attack on titan when it was brand new back in like 2014 but i lost interest in anime as a whole
intro slapped though
like mfs be talking about oldschool kid animes and claim to be something
Dont talk to me if u havent watched bakemonogatari series tf
Probably is the only place you talk to people is on an interest forum so...you'll be good

Laat season airing atm
Its shaping up to be one of the best anime ever
On the real if you a grown man that still watches anime you’re a f***ing weirdo and probably get no p****
Big fax no cap
i’m a super casual though
i only f*** with the dragon ball franchise and fmab
watched pokémon as a kid also
i guess avatar and boondocks don’t count
Try AOT that s*** gets insane, story is also 1 of 1
a lot of those on that list are like 100+ eps by themselves. how tf is that normie
nigga not even i watched all of dbz or yugioh.
"normies stay the f*** out of anime" what kinda loser s*** is this lol, let people enjoy things. if you finished all of dragon ball, dbz, Bleach & Naruto you definitely have the dedication only a fan of anime would have. Quit allowing your interest to consume you into thinking you're anything special.
I only watch Attack on Titan because it’s plot/story is f***ing Nolan level.
An anime has to universally be loved by all the artsy b****es for me to fw it. You know the ones. Zodiac, chakra stones, weird s***. Them girls. Need something to talk about while I’m geeking on that coffee date.
But yeah, adults that watch that cat-girl/fan service, kawai-desu/waifu bullshit don’t belong in society AT ALL
To be honest, if someone told me they had only watched 10 movies in their life and said they were a movie fan, I wouldn't exactly consider them to be a fan (or a big fan at least.) This applies to basically everything, so from a numerical standpoint I guess I can understand the tweet. I don't know, maybe my definition of what constitutes a fan is more strict(?) than most people.
Gatekeeping the definition of fan behind watching certain non-mainstream shows is dumb though.

I feel you but only watching 10 movies is different than watching 10 series, many of which have ran though multiple decades

That's a good point, and it was something I considered. But I just ended up coming to the conclusion that they're just a fan of those series instead of the medium as a whole. Me personally, I would have a hard time calling myself a fan of the medium if I only bothered watching 10 series, no matter how many episodes they had. I guess a decent comparison is someone who only listens to 10 artists who have extensive discographies calling themselves a music fan. I don't know, just feels weird and I personally wouldn't be able to call myself a fan if I was like that.
