Socialism = free video games
nah just less incentive to make games cost x2 than they did a couple decades ago
y'all about to pay like 150$ for GTA 6 anyways
nah just less incentive to make games cost x2 than they did a couple decades ago
Idk if this is a joke or not, but literally everything has doubled in price over the last couple decades.

is that not the problem?

Again, y'all lucky because we're currently paying double what we did 15 years ago
Peep the post on first page, games would cost you $100 if their prices increased with inflation
is that not the problem?
Not if median wages have gone up by the same percentage???
Of all the the things that have become more expensive this is probably the least important, games are always on sale, you can pirate them, etc.
Compared to s*** like food, games have not gotten more expensive at all

Yeah literally this, gaming been incredibly inflation resistant, even compared to other forms of entertainment (like cinemas and s***).
Gives of the same vibe as ppl complaining about having to pay 12 bucks a month to listen to 100 million songs an unlimited amount of times with Spotify instead of paying 12 bucks for 1 album.
Genuinely you never have to unless you want to. The amount of free games I've gotten over the years and cheap ass ones as well, buying the occasion full priced game never bothered me.
I feel like with DLC stuff every video game ends up $80+ at this point
I wish games were like Fortnite where they were "free" and then you have the option to buy cool stuff
S*** it's damn near $200 to play 2k fr

My gc already putting up a rack plus
You need your ass whooped. At some point you have to develop a backbone. $70 was already much, $80 for the base game is outrageous.
At this rate, we’ll have $100 games by the end of 2026
you're right people defending this are just stupid sheep. No other form of digital media i.e music or movies has been getting less accessible to consume with time, only games and these idiots eat it up

Gamepass out now
I remember during the N64 time when no one owned more than a couple games and had to rent everything cause they were so expensive
Really though I wish this talk was more about the shortcomings of our government and the insane increase of inflation. Anyone feeling some type of way about this should be protesting the American government as silly as video games are on the grand scale, this issue is still a direct complication of the rich f***ing us over and actively trying to keep us poors fighting over things like video games.
Gamepass out now
exactly, gamepass is the answer to this 80 dollar bullshit. More gaming sub services need to show up though
usually just wait for Black Friday and Thanksgiving, Day 1 is so dead lmfao. I’m a patient guy
@DonkeyKong I love you so much, DK, but $80 is where I draw the line...
