im a drake fan and still think some of his stuff post 2015 is top notch but I also find some that dont hit. I;ve also been critical on his albums since 2016 which I all thought were okay at best. This was definitely a step up from those. If you just want rap/mob boss Drake though you may not appreciate it outside of the lyrical records and bangers (not the main theme of the album nessecarily). This albums more melodic with transitions and outros that original drake fans come to love him for.
