Would be racist if OP feels his race is better and that’s the reason for wanting someone of the same race

But if the reasoning is that they’ll have more in common (culturally and morally) then there’s nothing wrong with it.

Preferences aren’t racist so long as you realize that even if you don’t prefer a certain race it doesn’t make them any lesser of a race.

A half black half white baby for example obviously has darker skin than a purely white person, but also has a lot lighter skin than a purely black person. That’s the feature it’s getting from the white side
