Hov never wanted to truly see his artists succeed. Ye and Cam succeeded cause of Dame. That’s exactly why Roc Nation never produced one poppin artist (Cole had buzz before signing to roc nation. Wale’s career died when signing to roc nation and was revived when signed to MMG)

  • Jun 5, 2024

    Kill myself

  • And there’s obviously a f***ing myriad of reasons to not sign to the other two niggas listed here

  • Jun 5, 2024

Def Jam is the easy pick

Hov knows how to position himself next to people in order to elevate himself.

Dame was responsible for brining Kanye to Roc-a-fella. Once College Dropout came and the label split he knew standing next Kanye would create the perception that he had a hand in his career.

The same applied to Rihanna. LA Reid and Hov signed her but you never really saw the association until Good girl gone bad. Ty Ty is more involved in Rihanna’s career than he is.

When it comes to behind the scenes politics with Hov there’s numerous of examples.

He called funk flex and told him he was bugging about calling 50 the king of New York after GRODT.

He snitched on the black distribution plan amongst Dame, Suge, Irv and J Prince.

What is ty ty’s role with rihanna

I’m signing with Hov if its a 2000-2003 Roc A Fella deal or a 2005-2007 Def Jam deal. Anytime after that you might as well sign to Birdman and hope for the best lmao
