Born Too Late by Saint Vitus
    Paranoid by Black Sabbath
    Black Metal by Venom
    First Daze Here by Pentagram
    Show No Mercy by Slayer
New American Gospel by Lamb of God
    Thrash Zone by D.R.I
    Suicidal Tendencies by Suicidal Tendencies
The Art of Partying by Municipal Waste
    Body Count by Body Count

Here's a good start, these are all metal albums that I love and are also fairly accessible. I'm also gonna throw all my music on shuffle and post the first few metal tracks that pop up.

Aight, this one isn't really too accessible to someone just getting into metal (it's also not really out there, tho), but check it out and see what you think.

So fire bro. Crossover Thrash is undefeated.

  • Jul 22, 2020

So this one obviously isn't straight up metal, but I said that I would post the first few tracks that pop up on shuffle, and it definitely has metal roots. Great song too.

Wino is really the GOAT metal vocalist. Everything man touches is gold, idgaf.

This song is off an album called Dark Saga, which the band based off of the earlier issues if the Spawn comic book. This setting of this track is pretty much when Al first goes to hell and realizes how much he misses and loves his wife (who ends up marrying his best friend ).

This an unsung classic right here. If you wanna here the same song, but way heavier (it's death metal), then check this cover out:

I forgot about this one. Glad I did this so that I can revisit some of these tracks.

  • Jul 22, 2020

The last track was gonna be my last one, but this s*** came on next and this s*** is too beautiful too not post. S***'s majestic, bro.

Anyways, I'm done. Sorry for bombarding you, but I just started another metal kick today after taking a long (for me) break. Hopefully you find something you like. I'm always glad to see more Black people trying to get into metal. We're out here, but often overlooked. Let me know what you like.

That's why a lot of black metal dudes went pagan. They realized that theistic Satanism is still a product of Christianity.

There's also so much to get into like

alternative, hard rock, industrial, goth rock, all those sub-sets of rock and metal

just gotta find what u like best

Especially if you're trying to avoid the devil lmaoooo. But at least metal is straightforward

Music that promotes bad habits without even being real about is more devilish in my opinion, than s*** thats blatant about the darkness of it all

    Black Sabbath - Paranoid
    Metallica - Master of Puppets
    Pantera - Cowboys from Hell
Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
    Dio - Holy Diver

    Then after that

And then after that for exploring genres:

    Modern:
    SOAD - Toxicity

    Metal core:
Killswitch Engage - The End of Heartache

    Progressive Metal:
Dream Theatre - Images and Words

    Classic Death Metal:
    Death - Scream Bloody Gore

    More Extreme but a must:
Meshuggah - 1. Destroy Erase Improve
    2. Obzen

    Modern Death Metal:
Gojira (Technical and Progressive) - From Mars to Sirius
IMO the best metal band (according to my mate)

    Dio ❤️😥⚰️
